Floating Light Tubes

TENSEGRITY

Tensegrity is a Light-Installation for the Life Science Factory in Göttingen, Germany. It consist of 38 LED-tubes that appear to be floating in the air. The Light-Installation can be controlled in Color and brightness by any device.  You can even play games or show individual Animations.

Our Tensegrity Lights are now available at lumodo.com

Intuitive Interface

FULL CONTROL

With our interface it’s possible to start animations and seamlessly adjust color and brightness. It detects new lamps added to the WIFI automatically. They simply pop up in the interface.

Made with:

LIFE SCIENCE FACTORY

The Concept for Tensegrity is based on the Life Science Factory makerspace. Most of the manufacturing process is possible at the makerspace: Laser cutting, 3D printing and microcontrolling. The LEDs are controlled with an Arduino in combination with a Raspberry Pi 3. The code is Open Source.

Tensegrity according to Wikipedia:
Tensegrity, tensional integrity or floating compression is a structural principle based on the use of isolated components in compression inside a net of continuous tension, in such a way that the compressed members (usually bars or struts) do not touch each other and the prestressed tensioned members (usually cables or tendons) delineate the system spatially.
